AgSwag recently linked up with CGB to help them celebrate 50 years in business by creating an alternative logo for them, designing some retro swag, and decking them out with some baller gear!
Cargill recently reached out to AgSwag wanting to get all their employees some fresh looking swag everyone would get excited about to show their appreciation for a few big projects they were working on the past few month!
FARMCON is taking place next week and we’re super excited for everyone to be in Kansas City! We have had a huge response. We SOLD OUT the first time and the Marriott kindly opened up an adjoining space that gave us room for another 250 attendees and we quickly SOLD OUT a second time! Sorry to all of those folks and additional guest we had to turn away, perhaps next year the timing will be better. I just want to take this time to thank my team and family for all the hard work they’ve put in to pull this event off! I know we haven’t started the event yet, but it feels like all the pieces are coming together and we’re ready to roll. Everyone on the Van Trump team has put in months of work for this event but we’ve really gotten after it these past three weeks or so. I should note, we were all in the office past nine o’clock last night working on some finishing touches and that’s only the beginning of some late nights until the event is over. For everyone attending the event, make sure to stop by the AgSwag booth for our official launch of the company! This will be the first time our booth will be displayed and let me tell you… this is something you definitely won’t want to miss! It will be packed full of plenty of fun!!! Again, our team worked extremely hard to make this event happen and it would be greatly appreciated for everyone attending to take a second to thank one of the team members for putting FARMCON on, especially my mom. She may think it goes unnoticed, but this event would 100% not be possible without my mother. I’m extremely grateful for everything she has done for this event and all her hard work, so if you want to thank someone come next week… make sure it’s her!!! I’m excited to meet new people, catch up with old friends, and learn from some of the best in the industry come next week!
Remington Farms recently reached out to us requesting a logo to be made for their farm and wanted to order a truckload of hats! Excited to see how these turn out!
Kevin Peach, owner at Honeyford, recently reach out to us wanting to get all his employees some really good looking swag. In addition, he wanted to make it a bit more unique for each person, so we came up with the idea to put each persons name on the their jacket.
“Everyone’s talented but at the end of the day, it’s all about good people! When you bring good people together, you get good results” – Jimmy Garoppolo
Amarillo Brokerage Company reached out a few days ago wanting to get their team some baller looking swag before the holidays as we move into winter and also come up with some client gifitng ideas. After a little bit of time learning more about their customers and business, we decided the best gifts for them to send out were Pendleton Blankets and Give’r Gloves. Depending on how much business each client did with the company gave us the solution of what gift to give.
Something I’m reading —
“What You Do Is Who You Are: How to Create Your Business Culture.” Culture is how a company makes decisions. It is the set of assumptions employees use to resolve everyday problems: should I stay at the Red Roof Inn or the Four Seasons? Should we discuss the color of this product for five minutes or thirty hours? This book explains how to make your culture purposeful by spotlighting four models of leadership and culture-building, which include the leader of the only successful slave revolt, Haiti’s Toussaint Louverture; the Samurai, who ruled Japan for seven hundred years and shaped modern Japanese culture; Genghis Khan, who built the world’s largest empire; and Shaka Senghor, a man convicted of murder who ran the most formidable prison gang in the yard and ultimately transformed prison culture. The most interesting part about the book is it connects these leadership examples to modern case-studies. For example, how Louverture’s cultural techniques were applied by Reed Hastings at Netflix, Travis Kalanick at Uber, and Hillary Clinton. Remember, who you are is not the values you list on the wall. It’s not what you say in a company-wide meeting. It’s not your marketing campaign. It’s not even what you believe. Who you are is what you do. Overall, this book will help you do the things you need to become the kind of leader you want to be and others want to follow. Try pairing this read with an interview with the author, Ben Horowitz, which is about his investing landscape and how he evaluates companies.
Hudye Group recently reached out to us wanting some sharp corporate swag for employees and board members within the company. In additon, they wanted some unique client gifting ideas to send for Christmas. We came up with sending each client two stemless wine Ice Shakers, a bottle of wine, and creating their own custom packaging. Keep in mind, AgSwag designed the box as well!
Benson Hill recently reached out to us to get some swag for their new logo/branding launch! They have many events and meetings coming up to discuss the change they recently made, so they wanted the team looking a bit baller you could say.
Concert I recently attended —
Luke Combs is a concert I recently attended last weekend at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a country artist, but I would definitely say it was needed. Country concerts are always my favorite, but I don’t always like seeing the same artist over-and-over. Luke Combs was a long overdue concert for me. I’ve been wanting to see this guy live for the past two or three years. I had the chance to see him in a dive bar in Fayetteville awhile back, but decided to pass up the opportunity because I thought it was a little overpriced for the tickets. I had heard he sounded great live and he lived up to the expectations without a doubt! Stage performance-wise he wasn’t the best, but he is 100% one of the best country voices I’ve heard live in some time, which means I thought he sounded better live than Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, and Eric Church. I had an incredible time at the concert, knew just about every song, and even got a picture with Luke Combs in an AgSwag hat I included below. I’m just kidding… it’s actually my buddy that looks really similar to Luke Combs. The funny part is he was actually taking pictures and signing autographs all night with me because people actually thought it was him. I also included another picture with my fake Luke Combs friend and another guy dressed up like Morgan Wallen, the opener at the concert. I got a ton of great feedback out of the picture. Click HERE to watch my experience at the Luke Combs concert!
Zone 6 Fitness, a new local gym in Kansas City, recently reached out to us wanting some fresh ideas and designs for their new fitness club they were starting. They were wanting something bold they could give away to members of the club to start a little buzz around town.
Trip I recently took —
Carter Malloy, AcreTrader’s founder and CEO, just reached out to us wanting to get his team some baller gear to start wearing to the trade shows and events they attend. Told me they are corporate guys who also like to hunt.
Justin Ohlde, owner of Ohlde Dairy, recently reached out to me about improving his employee retention and I told him one of the best ways to do it is through corporate swag. We had a budget for this first order, but still wanted to get some gear in the teams hands to get them fired up heading into their busiest time of the year. Currently working on some more strategy moving into 2020 and working on some onboarding swag for his new employees as well!
CGB recently reached out to us wanting to know if we could come up with a few ideas on our end for some Saints apparel members in the office could wear to work as well as the games since they’re located an hour away from New Orleans. Really wanted some fresh ideas on the swag side of things!
After hammering out a few designs, Corn Growers Bank wanted to take their order to the next level! They wanted something they could give their customers when they came in between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but didn’t want to go with the same old calendar and pens as every other bank does. They didn’t want to spend the most money on these gifts, but wanted to get them some stuff they’d actually use!
Since we started getting into the world of country music, we thought we might as well do some swag for the best rodeos as well! Still in the works of hammering out a few more designs, but it’s looking like AgSwag will be providing the designs for Frontier Days come July in Wyoming.
Corn Growers Bank recently called us wanting some ideas on t-shirt designs for their employees to wear between Thanksgiving and Christmas in the office. They went with the first design, so please reach out if you’re liking some of the other ones because they’re all currently available!
Recently had a Nashville singer from Southeast Kansas reach out to us wanting a logo for his band, so we hooked him up! Just for background purposes he loves to hunt and was an ex-football player at Kansas State University. He went with the top logo. Please reach out if you like any of the other styles because they’ll still probably be available the next few weeks.
About to hook us up with Cody Jinks after this order!
We absolutely love these guys! Moving Parts is actually the company that turned us on to the Boyt gun cases that we’ve been selling like crazy lately. After testing the item for several weeks and gathering data on responses, AgSwag decided to carry it. Works great as a gift for all your hunting clients! I’m sure we all got them since we’re working in agriculture.
After finishing the gun cases, we started a new project for Moving Parts, which was for their 15th anniversary part. We actually kept it all a secret from Dave, the CEO and Founder, because we all wanted to throw a surprise party for him! We ended up creating an alternative logo they can use the rest of 2019 and into 2020 to celebrate 15 years of being in business. In addition to the logo, we also hooked them up with some swag for the event. We decided to go with laser engraved Ice Shaker’s that turned out awesome and some straight baller leather patch hats. Sounds like everyone enjoyed the party and loved their new swag they all got to take home!
If I had one piece I could give everyone, then it would be to sending every client you currently have either a cutting board or Cutco knife for no reason at all. Just simply tell them, “Thank you for doing business with me and I just wanted to send you this gift to show my appreciation!”
After that, just wait and see what happens! I would love to share with everyone the different reactions I get after sending these gifts, but it would ruin it for you. One thing I’ll tell you is that I’ve seen these items literally bring people to tears…
Don King, Owner at Michlig Grain, reach out to AgSwag last week wanting a logo created for their 40th Anniversary, some great swag for their team & clients, and some give away options for their event they will be hosting in a few months. Said a lot of their customers like to hunt and many of them really value their family. My first thought was the cutting knives or cutting board, but they are hard to do during giveaways since you don’t know whose going to win. Since a lot of them hunt, AgSwag knew we had to go with the camo theme. The first idea AgSwag came up with was hunting waders and some of the best on the market! AgSwag had a budget to work with, so I couldn’t spend it all on 10 pairs. So we also decided to get some Carhartt jackets to give away and some shotgun bags as well. In addition to the hunting, we started to think what if a women won? It starting to get a lot colder out, so we knew exactly what they could give, which is Pendleton blankets. The cool thing about the blanket is we added laser engraved leather patches to each one with the Michlig Grain 40th Anniversary logo. Very excited to see how all this turns out!!! #Michlig #AgSwag #Grain
Carter Williams, CEO at iSelect Fund, recently reached out to me wanting some baller vests for his team to wear when they’re out at events and meeting with companies they potentially want to invest in. He requested something on the higher-end side of things and was thinking something like North Face. AgSwag decided to take this thought one step further and really think outside the box on this order. North Face is a very common brand, but iSelect isn’t a very common company. For everyone that doesn’t know, iSelect is trying to predict the future in a way by investing in some of the newest trends agriculture has to offer. In addition, to fit the culture I knew I needed to go down the road of some type of hunting brand. The reason why I choose a hunting brand is because iSelect is constantly searching for new ground and looking for some of the best companies in the agriculture space similar to a hunter. I also knew iSelect really cares about their image and known as one of the best in the industry. Being the best in the industry means you have to have the best gear as well. So… our final solution was to hook them up with Filson vest, which is a high-end hunting company. iSelect absolutely loved the idea!
Happy to announce AgSwag just completed one of its biggest orders to date working on some client gifting and employee appreciation for Crop Risk Services’ College World Series Event in Omaha, NE. About to head that way next week to hand-deliver some swag and catch a Razorbacks game! #FarmBold #WooPig #AgSwag
Threw an order together fairly quick for Benson Hill’s Investor’s Day. Had to ship them overnight just to make sure it got to them on time. We knew they wouldn’t have much time to make them look nice for everyone to pick up, so we took it upon our own hands to throw a little ribbon on every shirt! # BensonHill #AgSwag #Swagger
Excited to announce that AgSwag received its first call-in order today from High Choice Feeders out of Scott City, KS!!! The company called wanting to get some swag to get their employees fired up and looking good at an upcoming rodeo event they’re hosting. They wanted something to help lower customer acquisition costs, so we hooked them up with 500 quality hats! At first, they were wanting 1,000 lower-end hats until I explained to them how much further these higher-end hats could take them business-wise when thinking about customer acquisition costs. Crazy what a little strategy can do! #HighChoice #Feed #AgSwag
